What Does The Training Depatment Do?
The Training department in any company is responsible for the training and development of the staff.
The department is typically responsible for induction, orientation, on-the-job training, re-skilling, operational training.
Most programs may be held internally, but the training department may coordinate with external trainers/experts or institutions for training programs.

Responsible to for the overall operations of the training department, the training manager typically reports to the Director - Training or Director - Human Resources.
Training Manager - Job Description
To align & drive the Learning & Development function for the unit, along with the business objectives / goals.
To develop people capabilities in the unit ensuring learning and development opportunities for employees in the unit, at all levels.
To build a learning organization culture and to foster a healthy climate for career enhancements and employee aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic
- Develop & integrate Learning & Development activities
- Develop L&D plans in conjunction with the strategic objectives
- Plan for and allocate financial resources for training
Managerial
- Support departments / functions in developing cutting edge functional excellence and in developing leadership capabilities
- Act as change catalyst in the cultural and organizational transformation
- Provide key inputs of L&D
- Reinforce learning & developmental initiatives
- Supporting individual & team development, career development, training & experience-based learning.
- Induct, coach and mentor new Joinees
Roles & Responsibilities of A Training Coordinator / Training Executive
1.To assist the Training Manager in identifying the training needs within each department.
2.To ensure that the Department’s Operational Budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are strictly controlled
3.To
be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub
departments of the Human Resources Division or any other Department of
the hotel as assigned.
4.To ensure the smooth and efficient running
of the Training Function, ensuring that all the Policies &
Procedures outlined in the Operations Manual are strictly adhered to.
5.To
assist the Training Manager in developing a comprehensive training plan
of all training activities for the year and ensure that it is reviewed
quarterly.
6.To review the progress of the Company’s Training Plan and make recommendations where necessary.
7.To
ensure that the Training Resource Center is well maintained and ensure
that training documentation, training aids and facilities are properly
inventoried, stored and accounted for.
